well there's all kinds of nondescript animal noises, plus the orniments made of chicken bones and chicken wire items of various types. knife mother definitely resonates with something like the horror films of takashi miike and the like.

thanks!

Harp and Gravehouse are pretty much their own men, although there is a bit of a Lovecraft influence to Gravehouse, yes. Knife Mother and her children are a similarly original creation, although I guess there's kind of a Freddy Kruger homage in the "sons of a thousand killers" riff.

I'd forgotten about the clucking in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but I shall pretend that this was deliberate and clever.

this is really cool. I get most of the references, but I'm not sure where gravehouse or harp's bane are drawn from. in general terms I see some lovecraft influence perhaps in gravehouse. knife mother is weird but cool. I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar character in foreign cinema I'd missed.

chicken neck kind of plays on the edge of absurdity, but I get the leatherface homage, with the weird chicken noises in the classic TCM.

keep it up!

Hi, I'm part of that CBR traffic that's no doubt passing through. I'm digging the blend of spy and horror conventions here. It'll be interesting to follow this and see where it goes. I know it's a good concept because I find myself thinking, "Why didn't I think of that?"
